The Yellowstone Caldera is nature at its best and worst. It is so unpredictable "playing" with it without absolute assurance as to what will happen. It goes to show what a waste of money and science war and conflict around the globe is. As a civilization our main focus should be the preservation of our species. Seriously, I wonder if anyone with the capability has it targeted. 5km is pretty deep, but it seems like all it would take is some deep cracking. I guess what Gronkalonka means by "preemptive strike" is some sort of controlled release. That would be quite the risky experiment.
